Livres Canada Books administers the Foreign Rights Marketing Assistance Program (FRMAP) component of the Canada Book Fund. It allocates financial assistance on behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage directly to Canadian-owned and -controlled book publishers.
In administering FRMAP, the objective of Livres Canada Books is to develop and sustain Canadian publishers’ export sales.
In addition, the Association administers a program designed to give publishers the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and expertise gained from their participation in the Livres Canada Books Mentoring Program and to implement a targeted marketing strategy.
